Advanced Nurse Practitioners

Advanced Clinical Practice is delivered by experienced, registered health and care practitioners. It is a level of practice characterized by a high degree of autonomy and complex decision-making. This is underpinned by a master’s level award or equivalent that encompasses the four pillars of clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research, with a demonstration of core capabilities and area-specific clinical competence.

Practice Paramedics

Practice Paramedics are highly skilled healthcare professionals who work alongside GPs and the wider clinical team to support patient care within the surgery. They are trained to assess, diagnose, treat, and refer patients with a range of minor illnesses and urgent medical conditions. Practice Paramedics can carry out home visits, manage long-term conditions, and help ensure patients receive the right care at the right time. Their role helps improve access to appointments and supports continuity of care for our patients.

Physician Assistants

Physician assistants are medically trained, generalist healthcare professionals, who work alongside doctors and provide medical care as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team.

Physician assistants are dependent practitioners working with a dedicated medical supervisor but are able to work autonomously with appropriate support.
